To those who serve in Army and knows civilian protocol , Gen Sharif and Admiral act is normal or its some kind of usual and show resentment ?

As per law, the COAS has to salute the PM.

However, he may have saluted when PM was approaching him and the COAS was not in the camera shot, as the camera was following the PM. Another camera angle can clear this doubt.

If the COAS did not salute the PM, it may be a clear indication that they are on opposite sides.

o bhai! Gen Shareef .. PM Shareef se jyada SHareef hain ! so no salute!
this reporting is so unnecessary and unfair

hardly anything to do with "freedom of press"
@hinduguy this is what I really despise ... creating controversy a form of yellow journalism.

PM Nawaz is the boss Rahil's boss so a respect is a must.
in the military we have a saying

dont salute the person... salute the rank

its a simple very deep meaning phrase.

it means that dont let your personal liking or disliking come in the way of military protocol.

media sensationalism nothing else

Gen Sharif is a professional soldier and keeps his opinions to himself. his boss had arrived and he welcomed him I am sure he would have saluted but that was cut out in the film.

If only Military men/ women didn't have to salute every time a greater rank passed by, based on option, it would greatly save the arm from fatigue.

One thing is clear that defence minister wasn't accompanying, last time he accompanied without invitation to Kakul.
Next, i noticed the other accompanying minister of nawaz sharif's kitchen cabinet, didn't dare to come near the general.
Lat not least, there should be no doubt that conspiracy against Pakistan army is close to hatch and Nawaz is moving forward with consultation of national and international, enemies of Pakistan.

@Irfan Baloch if it is protocol of army to salute than people should also understand army or ISI are institutions not individuals.

IMO, it is not necessary to salute PM, unless he has served in army.

I have some inside information from friends that the General and the Admiral during their Private meeting with Nawaz Sharif flipped him a " Birdie " before slapping him around for few minutes and then told him to assume the " Murga " Position.

Throughout this episode Nawaz Sharif had tears in his eyes just like he did when he was behind the BARS.:P

Kiya faltu khaber hai.

Or maybe all these rumours aside. It was possibly more frankness and skipping of the pointless pleasantries.
