Hardly; The CDG can take both and launch them both. This was an issue of national prestige and the Rafale was already there. This is more about interoperability since we are far from the days when French fries had to be labelled freedom fries.

Well there's 29 squadrons of Super Hornets and now only 8 left of regular Hornets.
