France Invites Tata Motors for its Nano Project in the Country

Car lovers around the world are anxiously awaiting the Nano car. Now Moselle, a province of France, has invited Tata Motors to set up their Tata Nano project in the region. According to Moselle Development Agency Director General, M David Malingrey, the region has ample opportunities and facilities in the region to set up the project and bring Europe’s cheapest car by 2011. "Tata Motors should take a look at the Moselle province for establishing manufacturing and logistics units for Nano cars," he said.

Moselle is already home to Daimler’s manufacturing unit for its popular two-seater car Smart. The region offers ample opportunities for auto component manufacturers. Canadian automobile component maker Magna already has its manufacturing unit in this region.

Malingrey stated that setting up a plant in France in Moselle will also help Tata Motors to expand quickly in Europe and introduce its ultra-cheap car in the European market sooner than expected.

seems like france is getting pet of indian

No need to use bad words for a respectable country.

Moreover, It is in the interest of both the India and France.

If India, Russia, France, Brazil and Iran joins hands we all will be the biggest power in the worlds and will need any other nation.

here it is

Zain is largest Indian acquisition in Africa

MUMBAI: The Bharti-Zain deal at $10.7 billion is by far the largest Indian acquisition in Africa, which takes India's total investment in the continent to $16.7 billion. According to Abhishek Sawant, analyst at IndusView Advisors, an M&A advisory firm, in the first half of 2009 ($451 million), Indian investment flows into Africa were sharply higher than the first half of 2008 ($80 million), growing at 463.8%.

Amongst Indian companies, the Tata group so far leads the pack with investments of $1.6 billion in Africa — across automobiles, telecom, hotels, and mining leading to the coinage of the term, 'Tata-fication of Africa.'

Taj hotels recently opened the luxury Taj Cape Town with an investment of Rand 500 million. Besides the Tatas, other Indian corporates that are active in Africa are Videocon, Suzlon, Godrej, Mahindra and Mahindra, UB group, Cipla, Dr Reddy's Labs, NIIT, Kirloskar and Essar.

Though in recent years, Indian oil companies have clinched deals in Sudan, Kenya, Libya and Nigeria, Indian investments in Africa have diversified away from oil and minerals to sectors such as telecommunications, financial services and food processing.

To tap into its vast population of a billion people, Indian FMCG companies like Godrej, Marico and Dabur have also made acquisitions and investments in Africa.

Its not between nations , its just a company's project. No need to go and compare with sanctions and mistrusts. Indian or French governments have nothing to do with it. Just consider it like the US selling Pepsi's in India or Pakistan.

Even if there is some problems with the arrangements later. Its TATAs loss not INDIA's. I think u got the point by now.

hit the bull eye.
France calling for indian investment is to compensate its job market there.though its a win-win situation for now, future consequences should be kept in mind.I rather go with making room in one of those J-L pants in UK to make Nano.and you will be just transporting the NAno from across the lake :P

and talking about americans? threads and whole forums not enough. Its just waste of time gathering and putting here when all the information which is available on free web.:partay:
