QUETTA: A complete shutter-down and wheel jam strike was observed in parts of Balochistan on Tuesday, paralysing business and trade activities in the province. The strike had been called by Baloch National Front (BNF) against what they described as Balochistan’s “forced accession” to Pakistan on March 27, 1948.
The flow of traffic on the National and RCD Highway between Quetta to Karachi, Taftan and Nasirabad was suspended. The strike was backed by other nationalist parties and Baloch Students Organisation (BSO), but there were no statements issued.
A partial strike was observed in Quetta, where Baloch populated areas like Saryab, Berwary, New Saryab, Joint Road and other parts of the city remained closed.
All the educational institutions in Quetta, Mastung, Kalat, Naushki, Kharan, Panjgur, Washuk, Turbat, Mand, Industrial Town of Hub, Sibi, Kacchi, Nasirabad, Jaffarabad, Khuzdar and other townships also remained closed.
“This was a black day for the Baloch nation because Pakistani forces invaded Balochistan and forced accession to Pakistan,” the BNF said in a statement.

We should be looking to go forward now as a nation, and not look back 60 years ago and cry a river over it.

baloch tribal leaders sitting in London constantly spew out hatred, and create misconceptions, and the media quickly makes it popular.

. .
Balochistan issue is guided by sense of deprivation, Pakistan need to work on these problem and nobody will talk of 1948.

I was watching this program I got these information, watch after 2:00 min:-

85%= no access to clean water
80%= no access to electricity
63%= poverty
70%= Children no access to Schools

3 of 70 Tribal elders! Don't forget the sheer number that support Pakistan as compared to those that oppose it.
3:67 is a pretty solid ratio in our favour.

It is a tribal society. In most cases the deprivation is fuelled by the tribal lords. They want to keep the people deprived so that they are easier to control. If they are educated and have access to jobs then why would they work in a Tribal lord's mines for no pay?

Story of pakistan, not Balochistan.

This issue gets so much highlighted, that a mountain is made out of a mole hill.

The problems exist, but not as they are made out to be.

But unfortunately, some people choose to highlight the 3!!!

You are being a bully, feel free to ban me permanently. EastWest gets banned for saying "Balochistan will be free one day. Its a matter of time", but Kakageta's verbal diarrhoea on Indian separatist groups gets him a slap on the wrist? If you are consistent on your rules, you should ban Kakageta, but you wont because inthis forum some members are more equal than others.

EastWest had posted a one liner out of context with no reference or supporting argument, whereas my "Verbal Diarrhoea" was my humble assessment as an analyst. It was my argument and was in perfect agreement with the principles of COIN and South Asian Security. Feel free to disagree but the mods decide whether I am deserving of a ban or not and I will gladly accept any punishment they feel is befitting.

I met a SIndhi man once, he was a driver , brought a white Land Cruiser to a car wash at the petrol pump, we got into a chat.

I asked him, about his work and all. Long story short, he did not get any salary, whole family works for the tribal lord or wadera, he is at the mercy of the wadera, he gives whatever he wants, no questions asked, and when I asked the drive why does he not leave, he says that if he does, the wadera will put him behind bars thanks to a fake FIR and get his family locked up in his house, and do all sorts of things.

These people think that they are born lords, and this is the exact situation in Balochistan, the people have no choice but to follow what the tribal leader says. marri, Bugti etc...

Was not talking to you, was pointing to the inconsistency of the moderators so thought of ignoring you at first but had to respond.

Fair enough. Though when you post on an open forum, the discussion is usually for the participation of all eligible parties.

Save the excuses. Maybe the least you could have done before providing your "humble assessment as an analyst with COIN, South Asian Security and numerous other abbreviations like ABC, FGP and DCBJJLNXAKBNXHXC certified opinions" was maybe perhaps notice that the topic had nothing to do with Indian separatist movements.

True, it had nothing to do with Baloch separatists either. When EastWest brought them into the equation, I felt it was important to mention the regional fallout of the proposed breakaway of Balochistan.

But never mind that, why should Pakistani trollers like yourself be inconvenienced by the very small insignificant fact that there post is COMPLETELY OFF-TOPIC when they know that they cannot be banned

My blue Username would suggest that I am not a troll and have obviously proven myself worthy in some way to earn it but you are entitled to your opinion and I respect that.

As for "gladly accepting your punishment", well duh thats a no-brainer :woot: You kind of have to accept it whether you like it or not, they are the mods. What are you going to do? Hack into their website and undo their ban?

My position as TT allows me a certain degree of influence with the Admin and Mods, I cannot change or challenge their decisions but I can offer them my 'Advice'.
