In the background of the success of the Arrow 3 Missile Defense Experiment Series in Alaska, the head of a wall program at the Defense Department's Armed Forces and Technological Infrastructure (MAPA) Department on Wednesday said Moshe Fattal "is interested in the possible export of the Arrow 3 overseas system ".

Fattal said this in a phone call from Alaska with Israeli reporters, but declined to reveal details about the possibility that could open up for the security industries involved in the Arrow Plan 3 - if it decided to export the advanced system. He added that in any case, the export of the system will be subject to the approval of the relevant entities in Israel and the US Department of Defense.

Arrow System's main contractor is the aerospace industry and the subcontractor for the project is American Boeing. In the program, other Israeli industries, including the defense-government company, say that they believe in the rocket rocket engines and the target rocket engines through which the Arctic missile experiments are done. Hankor missiles are manufactured in Rafael combat systems. In addition, Elbit Systems is the developer and manufacturer of the Arrow Missile Control and Control System, known as "Etrog Gold."

In the afternoon, it was announced that for the past week and a half, the US Department of Defense and the US Missile Defense Agency have conducted a complex trial in Alaska, in which the capabilities of the Arrow 3 missiles were tested against a series of threat scenarios relevant to Israel. During the experiments, Arrow 3 missiles were launched three times at target missiles that resembled enemy missiles - and intercepted them successfully outside the atmosphere: "There were three 'Iron on Iron' interceptions outside the atmosphere. This is a breakthrough technological achievement, and these are capabilities reserved for only a few countries," Fattal said. : "Arrow 3 will be the protective wall of the State of Israel."

The Arrow Missile System 3 is designed to intercept missiles carrying nuclear warheads and, consequently, its function to damage enemy missiles while outside the atmosphere to minimize the risk of nuclear fallout. The Alaska experiment was designed a long time ago, and even received a special budget of several hundred million dollars from the US government. It was planned to take place about a year ago but was postponed due to continued preparations for it.

The decision to conduct the experiment in Alaska and not in Israel was made for safety reasons and for the large areas it required.

During the experiment, the interconnection capabilities between American missile systems and radar, whose types are scattered around the world and in wartime, were also tested - Israel, although the arrow system has a radar developed and created specifically for it, known as "mighty pine".

Prime Minister and Defense Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today congratulated the success of the experimental series, saying that "the series of experiments succeeded beyond imagination, heights and speeds that we did not know so far. The execution was perfect - every hit." He added that "Israel today has the capabilities to act against ballistic missiles that will be launched against us from Iran and from anywhere else."

Boaz Levy, Director of the IAA Missile and Space Division, said after the success in Alaska that "the missiles went out and flew toward their targets," purchased "them with their sensors and destroyed them with an iron strike. We have brought another layer of protection to a country that is well-tested and proven, and Israeli residents can sleep at night. "

Arrow System 3 was put into operational use in the IDF's air defense system as early as January 2017, and alongside it are Arrow 2 missile arrays, a magic wand and an iron dome.

According to Fattal of the Ministry of Defense, "Israel is ahead of Iran's missiles by several steps, and so will its future plans in the field." He declined to answer the question of whether the defense establishment intends to develop Arrow 4 missiles to deal with future missile threats, saying "there are a lot of ideas about the challenges that will occupy us in about 10 years, and everything is being tested on the go."
