Daredevil Flat-Earther ‘Mad’ Mike Hughes has died after launching himself into the sky in a homemade rocket. Purported video of the accident shows the fatal launch.
Hughes and a colleague built the steam-powered rocket in hopes of shooting the daredevil 5,000 feet (1.5km) into the air. The endeavor was being documented by the Science Channel, which wanted to feature him in a new series called ‘Homemade Astronauts’.

A video purportedly filmed at the site shows the rocket being launched into the sky near Barstow, California, before Hughes plunges back down to the earth.

The self-taught rocket engineer gained notoriety for his belief that the Earth is flat. However, Hughes said that his flat-Earth belief was not the primary motivator for his latest, and final, rocket test, stressing that he was simply a daredevil.

The 64-year-old first shot himself into the sky in 2014, and completed several launches. His most successful attempt took place in March 2018 when he propelled himself approximately 1,875 feet (572 meters) into the air before crashing back to Earth at around 350mph (563kph). He sustained multiple injuries from his previous flights, before ultimately succumbing to his dangerous hobby on Saturday.

You need to live here to see the reality instead of holding unrealistic expectations.

unfortunately, without being exposed to different people and cultures one has difficulty understanding the difference between economic prosperity perceptions and socio-economic ground realities.

These countries have their positives in economics and opportunities but have their own social issues and ills.

What matters is how independent their law and order system is. The US isn’t the best at it but because its still better than Pakistan or India or Kenya it will be considered a better lifestyle in that respect.
The same goes for education and health and so on and so forth.

Its like comparing apples to oranges. The US is massive, its climates, economics and people diverse..along with its experiences in life.
There is materialistic immorality as well as abject poverty, complete order as well as chaos, paradise as well as hell.
Smart people as well as absolute idiots, just as in the US as well as in Pakistan.

It is only with exposure and knowledge that ones over comes this ignorance and understands the condition of humanity.

I think your statement in general is what I refer to low IQ people who think conformity is what is intellect.
It takes a lot of freedom of intellect to imagine with visuals which do not originate from indoctrinated memory my friend, you won't get it because your thought process is a slave of the matrix and you feel good in that misery.

I think proper safety measures should be adopted during such experiments particularly when going to space is already discovered by world and it is not new thing so i not think it is right to risk your life in such experiments without clearance from experts of this field

You might want to do an evaluation of your IQ mate, and ponder a bit on whether your intellect is controlled by what the world is so hell bent on telling you, or does it come from your own independent ability to think and discover what is truth from falsehood.

You do realize that every claim put out there comes with its proof which is then independently peer reviewed, questioned and subjected to every scrutiny that there is all across the world? I think reading up on the evidence provided with respective claims would be a much better use of your time than building a rocket and going to space.

Not really. That, I believe, is called a conspiracy theory. Nahh man, why be sheep? There are mafias everywhere, there is also an oil mafia/establishment which is hell bent on shutting mouth of any-one who wants to go against the established order. We can easily power our vehicles just through water or air. You see huge windmills? why not put a windmill on top of the vehicle and make it a perpetual motion machine. Or here is better one why not we try to use water as resource and we can power a vehicle using water + some magic mumbo jumbo and no more worry about oil prices......

People need to differentiate between established science, theoretical science and pseudoscience. In my honest opinion people got way too much free time on their hands and they start questioning everything. Only retards go against established science. Moon landing has nothing to with established science, it was a claim made by a country providing some evidences of their endeavour. It was a narrative, if some one believes it, good for them. If some one doesn't believe it, also good for them. It was all about believing a narrative, it had nothing to do with established science. But believing earth to be flat or believing it doesn't revolve around sun or believing moon to be a disk held up by aliens, now these things go against established science.
