FC soldier among five injured in Quetta blast | Pakistan Today | Latest news, Breaking news, Pakistan News, World news, business, sport and multimedia
QUETTA - A Frontier Corps Balochistan official along with four civilians were injured in a remote-controlled bomb attack in Naseerabad district, 400 KM south east of Quetta on Tuesday. According to police, the incident took place when the FC official, along with local people, was going to the mosque for prayers in Rabi canal area. The explosives attached with a motorcycle parked near the FC checkpost went off injuring five people.
Four of the injured were identified as Gul Hakeem, Muhammad Hussain, Allah Dina and Taj Muhammad. Police suspected that FC personnel might be the main target of the bomb attack. Police and FC personnel cordoned off the area soon after the blast and started a search operation. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Meanwhile, a couple died of gas suffocation in Hazara Town in the outskirts of Quetta on Tuesday. According to police, Owais Ahmad and his wife Fatima Bibi went to bed without turning off the gas heater. The next morning they were taken to Civil Hospital Quetta but doctors pronounced them dead. The bodies were handed over to their relatives after the legal formalities.
