I keep up with US politics, fascinating stuff, a lot of it. Almost as spicy as Indian politics.

Rep Omar is interesting, I kind of like the fact that she's in there ruffling feathers but she is controversial, wonder if it's a political strategy to keep herself in the news. Freshmen/women congress reps aren't that powerful, and Omar and AOC do get sidelined by their own party many times for being too far left to be palatable on a national level there.

Very interesting to see the democrats deviate quite a bit far left of center than the republicans, who have also shifted further right but not nearly as much as the democrats these past few decades. There was a study/analysis with graphs etc.. look it up.

Also get a kick out of the angry reactions I got here lol, trolling win. \m/

Ilhan Omar has been an inspiration for many in Africa. She used to live in a refugee camp, she may seem divisive and too up front in her views, but she has scaled heights on her own merit.

I have not seen as much criticism of the US Congressmen who have been charged and unseated for sexual abuse, yet Ilhan attracts the vitriol despite the fact she hasn’t actually seen any allegations proven beyond doubt.

She is not even that extreme, she just wants Israel to abide by existing UN resolution on the Palestinian issue for example
