THARPARKAR: In an attempt to impress Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar, during his visit to Sindh’s drought-stricken district of Tharparkar on Wednesday, a fake medical camp was established in Mithi, ARY News reported.

As per details, a fake camp was setup outside the Mithi civil hospital with counterfeit patients in it, to show provision of best health facilities and ‘everything good’ to the top judge, Saqib Nisar, who visited the area to see the actual situation in Thar.

The camp was wrapped-up soon after from the area, as Chief Justice Saqib Nisar left Mithi.

The authorities had become active in the area, in the wake of CJP’s visit, to present a rosy image of the impoverished desert facing negligence of the government on the local as well as at the provincial level.

The dilapidated building of Civil Hospital Mithi was renovated. The compound wall of the hospital premises and the interior was painted.

Moreover, required equipment was also installed at the children’s ward and at the operation theatres.

It is to be mentioned here that Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar hearing a suo moto case about deaths of children in Thar due to malnourishment and related diseases.

Chief Justice Nisar on December 07, had announced to visit Thar on Dec. 12. The top judge while ordering for arrangement of his visit of the area, had directed the government he should not be taken only to the ‘good areas’ of the region.

He directed the government to tackle the problems of Thar as the region facing serious problems related to water and food.
