The word your after is racism. They voted for it because they hate people of other races/nationalities. They don't want them in their country.

The irony is; they can never have what they want.

You could build a 100 foot wall all around Britain with guards at ever 5 metres armed with lasers and machine guns and armed drones patrolling the skies, but you cannot create a physical barrier along the "border" between Nothern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, as that is a requirement for peace in Ireland. Any border would start a war. They also refuse to put a border between Northern Ireland and the rest of Britain, as that would be equivalent of conceding N.Ireland is not Britain.

They cannot have an acceptable solution to this issue.

Most Britons don't mind the Irish as racially they are same/similar... (the troubles are over) it is immigrants of a more exotic persuasion such as Eastern Europeans and beyond...

Yeah, but the problem is, if an EU national comes to the Republic of Ireland and there is no border, he can cross straight over into Northern Ireland, which is British territory. Similarly you can cross from N.Ireland to the UK mainland using easily obtainable paperwork/ID.

Also most Brits don't mind foreigners at all. Its the workshy or the racists who do.

She is gone already, she said she would not be leading conservatives in next govt. That means she is gone but trying to secure her current term by cutting some internal deal with in conservatives.
