Egypt signed a deal to order 10 ANKA-A

Does this mean that TSK will not receive all the ANKA they've ordered ? Any delays ?

I hope that TSK will have priority as a customer.

-Anka-A is the first variant of latest 2 upgraded/modified prototypes (P4-P5) which is able to climb an altitude around 25000+ft and 24 hours.
-Anka-B will be more developed variant with underbody Aselsan SAR radar which is able to climb aprox. 30000+ft going into serial production phase in 2013.
-ANKA-TP is armed 5 tonnes big brother of ANKA-B(1,5 tonnes) which will be able to climb 45000ft and She will have aprox. 1 tonnes payload capacity. It will be revealed in 2016. It is expected to see the design images in IDEF 2013...

-Egypt is the first costumer of ANKA-A. It will be the first time Egypt would have felt the surveillance experince Such a big MALE UAV can provide.
-I certainly sure that Being a country Egypt which enjoys with a MALE UAV's surveillance experience, will want to improve the capabilities with ordering ANKA-B and Armed ANKA-TP UAV's as well because It is known that Egypt is interested in ordering UMTAS and Cirit missiles as well in following days.

BTW, Contrary to countries like USA which is leading in UAV technologies, Turkey will be the first country that open own developed MALE-Armed HALE UAV for export markets. I think It is important for Muslim countries.

UK & Italy have already armed MALE (MQ-9 Reaper) from USA

The sale would make Italy the first foreign country besides Britain to fly U.S. drones armed with missiles and laser-guided bombs. U.S. officials said Italy intends initially to deploy the armed drones in Afghanistan.

But US refuses to sell us some armed UAV.

BTW, you are right because US won't sell any armed UAV for Muslim countrites, a big market for us but don't forget China who can sell cheaper and without any foreign pressure ...

Man i must be there this time, this one will be important. how can i get an invitation?

It's still too early to make an equivalent of Global hawk, but I'm very curious about the sensor array of the ANKA-TP. It's thrilling.

Egypt is just the beginning, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are sure to follow. I also expect orders from European countries. Talarion program will take time.

There has been no decision so far if they will even build the Talarion. The German government is still undecided whether they will support the project or not and as far as I can tell the French are building something different with the Brits.

Germans have global hawk and Brits get reapers from US. They don't have anything else operational. There are experiments like Dassault's nEUROn and BAE's Taranis but they can't make a requirement estimations because there is no immediate threat.

In this fog of uncertainty we can score some export :) it's all about marketing now.
