KARACHI: The ban on pillion riding in the city has been lifted on Monday (today); the news has been welcomed by people.
Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Karachi Fayaz Leghari told SAMAA that the notification regarding the ban on pillion riding was effective till 12:00am, December 19, 2010.
He said no new notification has been received from the Home Department yet.
The CCPO said the ban could be re-imposed if the Home Ministry issues orders.
On the other hand, Sindh's Home Minister told the media yesterday that the ban had been extended till Chehlum. SAMAA
