Walt Disney Co (DIS.N) has struck a deal to buy film, television and international businesses from Rupert Murdoch’s Twenty-First Century Fox Inc (FOXA.O) for $52.4 billion in stock, giving the world’s largest entertainment company an arsenal of shows and movies to combat growing digital rivals Netflix Inc (NFLX.O) and Amazon.com Inc (AMZN.O).

Huge news here. Marvel can now incorporate the X-Men, Fantastic 4, and Deadpool into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Disney now also owns other properties such as Avatar, Aliens, and Predator.

Disney is a juggernaut now.

. . . .
It seems that Disney's power levels are approaching, if not surpassing that of the mighty Superman.

Disney and Google are probably going to end up fighting for global domination lol.

It's insane that characters like Wolverine and Magneto will one day interact with the Avengers, etc.

It's a dream come true for comicbook fans.

Finally we can get a Fantastic 4 movie which isn't a massive turd.

.
Government needs to block this move. It will form a monopoly and more importantly I dont want to pay for Netflix and Disney streaming services.

And what a massive battle for global domination between those two mega Powers it would be!

Also, totally in agreement with you about getting a new Fantastic Four movie going.

A shiny looking turd is still a turd after all :pleasantry:

. . . .
Will Marvel combine with DC soon?

Blasphemy! j/k :P

I highly doubt it, but truth be told, just about nothing would surprise me these days.

So far the closest thing to DC and Marvel combining has been a few DC/Marvel team ups/fights in the comics.

Like when the Justice League and Avengers encountered each other in a crossover back in the mid 2000's

Finally, all of Marvel under one roof. Even Spider-Man pretty much has returned to Marvel's fold. Just in time to launch the next phase of Marvel after final two Avenger films.
