Did you ever meet any dictator yourself?

I did meet Gaddafi in 2009. I was 16 then. They had a gigantic 40th annivesary celebration for their revolution. The Gaddafi regime invited thousands of people from all over the world. Severl hundreds from Italy alone, since Italy was one of his closest allies. My father was invited because he works for Leonardo S.p.A. He was told he can bring family. So he went there with me and my mother and my sister. It was 4 days. We switched between Tripoli and some desert cities. There were gigantic parades and tons of food and so on. It was well organized. We even saw Gaddafi at one occasion and he greeted us. I must look through our old harddrive and look for the pictures.

Beside that i saw Mubarak in egypt in 2000 at a vacation. But only from far and i did not know much about all that back then.

Met Gen. Musharraf in 2015 at Marriot Hotel Karachi. My institution had a workshop in Marriot from May 18-19. On the second day, Gen. Musharraf's party had a big event at Marriot. Lots of party workers and office bearers had come to the venue. Me and my colleague were just idling at the entrance to the main hall when he came. He was escorted by a lotta security personnel but he was kind enough to acknowledge our greetings. He shook our hands and went inside the main hall to address his workers. This was back then when he returned briefly to restart his career as a politician.
