MUNICH: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has stressed practical steps for better management of Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
Addressing the CENTCOM Asia Security Conference in Munich, Germany on Tuesday, he said effective management of the border is imperative for successful conclusion of Zarb-e-Azb operation against terrorists.
General Sharif said, despite hurdles, peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan is vital for regional peace and security. He called upon all the Afghan stakeholders to revive the reconciliation process.
He said, a peaceful Afghanistan can open regional connectivity and help in sharing the benefits of China Pakistan Economic Corridor project.
The Army Chief reaffirmed the commitment to address the menace of terrorism for socio-economic development of the country.
