Plan to de-radicalise youth in KP, Fata | ePaper | DAWN.COM
I think the first and foremost step after and during Zarb-e-azab should be the government's active involvement in deradicalizing the youth of operation affected areas of KP & FATA. This will help us ensure that there will be minimum chances of another generation of Jihadis growing up on our soil and taking up arms instead of books. Govt schools, hospitals should be constructed throughout and seminars should be held for the college going students. Not only this, but comprehensive employment plan by which Tribal youth can be provided with Govt jobs to increase writ of state in FATA should also be formulized. Up until now the army has single handedly been trying to manage everything but I think if the govt of KPK and federal govt work together we can achieve this goal much sooner than later.
