AS SALAAM O ALAIKUM,

I found this video on GDP with compare of Democracy period vs Martial Law period. Please let me know what do you think and why we want democracy as this will also educate lot of other people who either think Martial law is good/bad for pakistan and Democracy is good/bad for pakistan Thanks.

Martial law in Pakistan is a death sentence for its economy.

Only illogical lunatics prefer martial law over the beautiful democracy.

Economy or GDP is reflective of the internal accountability and stability.

People carry a stigma here that both can come under strict military rule is just a tribal culture mentality.

They don't make strong enough institutions cause they are pampered that martial law will bring them nros and further sympathy votes.

The military does not follow martial law in its entirety nor spirit. Once in power they find themselves sitting on a stockpile of experimental garbage.

Let people sort their mess out through democracy and then only then stability and accountability will give rise to stronger economy.

Yes but in Western Country. Where people are educated to cast vote on issues rather than their cast. I am not against democracy at all. But really from the first day I am hearing corrupt leader nawaz, zardari, altaf till today. When we go to for accountablity we get attack on Court, Judges. Our leader try their best to bring Martial Law so that they can be siyasi shaeed and thing goes back to 0.

I still remember, my uncle used to work in National Fiber in 90's and that was a great company in Karachi and going in profit Then Nawaz came and privatize the company. Now that company is closed for years. Same I am seeing with Steel Mill and PIA.

Take a look at KARACHI at the time of democracy and at the time of Martial Law.

So question is, Is democracy model good for Pakistan?

Yes.

It can work.

Anything can work in Pakistan if you just have strict accountability by due process.

Europe is not here flourishing because of overnight democracy baby boom. It's because of a long rigorous process. A natural process.

In a nation's life. Martial law is a C section best avoided.
