Army chief endorses 14-year rigorous punishment upon ex-lieutenant general of army and death sentence to ex-brigadier of army and another civil officer with PhD degree operating at sensitive location on charges of espionage.

During the same period, the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC), which is the only constitutional forum with the power to examine the conduct of judges of superior courts of the country and recommend theiir removal, moves to summon Supreme Court's Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Sindh High Court's Justice Karim Khan Agha on June 14, 2019 over references filed against them.

According to reports, the references have been filed against the two judges on the charges of concealment of assets.

So, what exactly is happening in Pakistan?

Solving Pakistan has already highlighted that Pakistan is chalking a new direction. This is completely unprecedented and it has sent shock waves across the length and breadth of status quo who are only worrying about one thing and one thing alone: ab mera kya ho ga?

With such rigorous measures being taken against top defense and judiciary officers, the future for government of Pakistan officers appointed without merit is also becoming more and more uncertain.

When senior defense officers can be involved in espionage, what about out of merit officers in public sectors, including schools, hospitals and police? Are they not more likely to be exploited by such foreign forces that haven't even stopped from attempting to corrupt our top defense officers?

While the army has been fighting terrorism, it's high time that the rotten public offices responsible for terrorism, crimes and other menaces of the society be fixed, and the only way of achieving that is by letting go of the officers appointed to education, health and other public offices without any proof of competitive nationwide examination, and awarding those posts to young Pakistanis who qualify on merit.

Let merit be the new norm in Pakistan!

Make defense the minimum benchmark or standard for all public offices to emulate!

Find the actual story here.

It's not very first time that Pak Army punished the culprit within Army.

On the other end how many parliamentarians have been punished by Parliament & how many bureaucrats have been punished by public offices? And the answer is non, although Parliament and bureaucracy don't have any mechanism to punish culprit. But here I am emphasizing that they even don't highlight or identity the culprit within system so that judiciary can punish them, although judiciary is corrupt too, recent example is judges concealment of assets especially after PPP & PMLN cases. And now both parties will try to defend the corrupt judges.
Pakistan can't get the required result for the country with this current system. It is as clear as sunrise.
