Defence production to be given industry status: Jahangir Tareen PESHAWAR: Minister for Production and Industries Jahangir Tareen said defence production would be given the status of an industry after completing legal formalities.
Addressing a meeting of industrialists here, he said government would provide every facility to arms-merchants in Darra Adam Khel due to high demand of arms in international market.
With the help of US administration, he said, the federal government would establish re-construction zones for tribal areas, while the industrial status of Peshawar would be upgraded.
To establish the Marble City in NWFP capital, heavy machinery worth Rs300 million would be imported in the country.
