Cyprus is enemy of Turkey. Turkey invaded Cyprus in 1974. Anyway, Cyprus will now be very heavily armed to prevent further Turkish invasion.

I can tell you it's much better armed than it was back in 1974,compared with the Turkish Army of the era. They had T-34-85s against M47s and M48s,no Air Force,only AAA against the Turkish bombing and a few torpedo boats against the Turkish Navy.
Now they have T-80U/UKs,AMX-30B2s,
BMP-3s,EE-9 Cascavel and even attack helicopters.
