At least 3 stores have been sealed in Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – At least 3 stores were sealed here on Saturday as the police launch a crackdown against stores selling uniforms of law enforcement institutions, Dunya News reported.
Reportedly, the stores were illegally selling uniforms and even badges of forces of security institutions.
According to details, the realization that the Badaber attackers came clad with constabulary uniforms has prompted the Rawalpindi police to launch a crackdown against stores illegally selling uniforms of law enforcement institutions.
The magnitude of illegal sales was revealed after the police found out that the stores were selling uniforms and badges of the prime security institutions such as Pakistan Army, paramilitary forces and police.
The police have also taken into custody at least three persons for selling the uniforms illegally. The police say that it is not permitted to sell uniforms, shoes and badges of security forces without a license from the Interior Ministry.
It merits mentioning here that the terrorists in the prominent attacks including Army Public School Peshawar and Badaber airbase attacks came wearing officials’ uniforms.
