Kolkata: Cochin Shipyard has delivered the 13th of the series of 20 Fast Patrol Vessel 'ICGS Anmol' to the Indian Coast Guard.


Coast Guard officials said the new vessel will be based at Haldia in West Bengal and will enhance the Coast Guard's operational strength and reach along Bengal-Odisha coast.

Presently, Coast Guard district Headquarter Haldia has a compliment of two in-shore patrol vessels, four hovercrafts and one interceptor boat.

16th Fast Patrol Vessels for Coast Guard launched | Zee News

Kochi: Cochin Shipyard on Wednesday launched the sixteenth of the 20 Fast Patrol Vessels (BY 516) being built by it for the Indian Coast Guard.

The vessel was named 'ICGS ARNVESH' and launched by K Belina, wife of R-Admiral K Ravikiran, Admiral Superintendent, Naval Ship Repair Yard, Naval Base, at the Cochin Shipyard, according to a CSL release here.

Top officials of the Coast Guard and CSL were present on the occasion. Ravikiran also laid the Keel of BY 517 the 17th FPV for the Coast Guard.

Cochin Shipyard has so far delivered 13 vessels in the 20 vessel series and the 14th is getting ready for sea trials.

The 13th vessel ICGS ANMOL was handed over to CG on June 1, 2015 nearly 20 days ahead of the schedule.
