Let us face it, our most likely adversary is Indian Navy. Ever since the Midway Naval Battles have been dominated by the Air. A fact re-inforced in the Falklands War.

Dont know what Aman is really about, but I would like to see how PN ships would deal with ( say) 6 to 8 Harriers or 6 to 8 Mig-29 attacking in one go. Similarly how will our Exocet carrying Mirages will cope when intercepted by Sea Harriers and or Mig-29.

Submarines are the only blue water element in PN's inventory and they need to excercise against state of the art helicopters. On this basis we really need participation of modern navies such UK, US or France. To some some extent Chinese Navy too, but how participation by Bangla Desh Navy is of any benefit, only the Naval Planners know.

India's greatest strength is its Anti-Submarine Warfare capability, PN subs need a lot of practice and a good amount of luck, the numbers are just way too overwhelming.

Sir, If you have the Harrier's coming at you, Mirages are an option, They are armed with Derby BVR, its better wait for them to get close and as WVR is not exactly Harrier's forte, Mirage's can engage them. Though in Falklands it worked otherwise, Pakistan is no Argentina, France wont stop supply or anything of that sort.

MiG -29, Dont bring in any of your planes for engaging them, Best solution would be SAM's, PN surface fleet is nothing but a joke right now. Fall back and engaging through Air Defence is the only way. While sortie's to delievering Harpoon by Mirages. Pakistan Airforce just dont have the plane's to support them as of now. Induction of JF-17 the scenario but not in a dramatic way.

Maybe Co-operation with Bangladesh Navy is what they are looking for, More than the training, Bangladesh can learn more from the Joint Ex than most other countries

Pakistan has yet to build a frigate with transfer of technology basis. Aircraft carrier cannnot be built by Pakistan currently. It doesn't have the ability and doesn't really need one.
