According to sources, BISE Pindi Chairman Ghulam Dastagir misused his authority to raise the marks of Fahad Hasan, Roll No 759301, from 14 to 30 in Physics exam that was practical. Before the son pressurised the board chairman to maximize his marks and of ministry had filed an application to get re-checking of this newspaper.

The chairman altered the award set himself and obliged that the minister. The team issued the effect card that was new with marks. The BISE Rawalpindi control assessments, after being educated about the circumstance, ceased the outcome and formed a two-member question committee.

The committee could hold an inquiry into a shift in marks of the son of a minister. The inquiry committee submits its own report, fix the duty and may look into the board chairman. The board chairman said that anybody found guilty of tampering with the outcome ought to be dealt with according to law.

In a message, Punjab Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan stated he had no part in the incident linked to marks awarded to his son at the Rawalpindi board examinations. He said he presented himself and had asked an inquiry to be conducted by the board control examinations into the episode. Chohan said a mafia from the Rawalpindi BISE was busy because he had been taking actions.

LAHORE: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi chairman has allegedly increased the marks of Punjab Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan’s son in Physics practical in the recently-declared result of annual Intermediate Examination 2019.

According to sources, BISE Pindi Chairman Ghulam Dastagir allegedly misused his authority for increasing the marks of Fahad Hasan, Roll No 759301, from 14 to 30 in Physics practical exam.

Earlier, the son of minister had submitted an application for re-checking of the paper and allegedly pressurised the board chairman to increase his marks from 14 to 30. The chairman allegedly obliged the ministerby increasing his son’s marks and also changed the award list himself. The staff also issued the new result card with increased marks.

The BISE Rawalpindi controller examinations, after being informed about the situation, stopped the result and formed a two-member inquiry committee on a request of the board chairman. The committee would hold an inquiry into alleged change in marks of minister’s son. The inquiry committee will also investigate the board chairman, fix the responsibility and submit its report.

The board chairman said that anyone found guilty of alleged tampering with the result should be dealt with strictly as per law. “The Physics practical was conducted on July 17, while I assumed the charge as board chairman on July 18,” he clarified his position.

In a video message, Punjab Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan said he had no role in the episode related to additional marks given to his son in the Rawalpindi board exams. He said he had requested the board controller examinations to conduct an inquiry into the incident and also presented himself for the inquiry in this regard.

Chohan said a mafia in the Rawalpindi BISE had been active against the board chairman as he was taking action against those who were violating the board rules and regulations.
