Yeah the mobile phone mania is everywhere.

I (working in a mid size MNC in middle management role) own a Nokia 5800 XM but the chai wallah near my office building (who is barely 15 yrs old) owns a Nokia E72

My uncle told me a funny story of a phone chorr in Pakistan...

My uncle was walking with my distant uncle (let's call him 'his friend') and they both had phones with them and were walking about in a market at night. My uncle hid his phone in his sock. His friend said that there was no security issues to worry about and flashed his high tech mobile phone about.

Ironically, they were stopped by some phone chorrs- they saw my uncle's friend's phone- they got him to get it out of his pocket after threatening him with a (fake?) gun. Then they pointed the gun to my uncle and told him to take his mobile out. He said he didn't have any, so they checked his pockets and all- no phone. Just as they were about to leave with only friend's phone, my uncle's phone rang.

You know the rest.
