Corporal of Horse, Graig Harrison of the Household Cavalry, British Army, set a new world record in November 09 by killing two Taliban insurgents in Afghanistan at a distance of 1.54 miles, (8.120 feet) with the Accuracy International L115A3 long range sniper rifle. Harrison recalls:
'The first round hit a machine-gunner in the stomach and killed him outright. he went straight down and didn't move. The second insurgent grabbed the weapon and turned as my second shot hit him in the side. he went down too. They were both dead'.
