I have read basic - very basic accounts (internet) of the exploits of the 40th Pathans (Who served in France, Mesopotamia & South East africa) during the first world war & also of the Bombay Grenadiers. But sadly I can find not anything in print.

Most people disregard WW1 nowadays. Has anybody any idea where I can find the sources for these 2 hero regiments ?

My maternal grandfather served with Napiers Rifles during WW1 & my paternal grandfather served with the 40th Pathans and the 102nd Bombay Grenadiers. Tragiclly all their military papers disappeared from our home in the 1960s. I would like to know a little of what they had to endure during their military service.

5th Batallion The Rajputana Rifles is called "Napiers". Google Napiers Rifles, you shall get a lot of information.

There are numerous books on this fine battalion - I have three relatives who have served in Napiers
