Being Tamil Brahmin myself, I agree with what you are trying to convey.

One must actually do the physical labour to best use what he has received genetically....rather than preach about the superior genetics/intellect whatever from behind a computer screen!

I needed to hit the gym for many years to get to where I am today and anyone else can do the same to properly achieve their potentials....no matter what their background.

To me there is no inherent superiority genetically by being Brahmin or anything else....and in most cases you will find that yes those that are ....are actually out there doing the hard work or at least taking the time and effort to work out/exercise. Hence certain Castes in TN for example are definitely much more stocky and well built....because they are occupied with such labour generally speaking in the first place. There is no secret magical formula here!

There was a time when Brahmins were respected for their martial prowess as well....but nowadays we have slunk and retreated into docile living patterns and too many are slight of frame or the opposite and get diabetes and hyper tension/heart issues etc....all the while clinging to "superior genetics" blah blah.

Proof is always in the pudding...and there is great hope always. Both my parents are way shorter than me for example (and their parents somewhat shorter than them)......and I have seen the improving more consistent access to decent diets for families extend to better heights for their children (compared to periods of malnourishment/undernourishment that were persistent before).

Yet some still talk about genetics and caste superiority etc etc. Original caste system was never one defined by birth. It was what you as a person chose to become! Few know or understand this even today among Hindus. How sad!

Thing is, they probably ran out of toilet cleaner volunteers and a different kind of system had to be inforced. Was probably most convenient to modify it in such a way that offspring of existing "dirty jobs" employees continue in their parents' footsteps. After all, they were already probably accustomed to not much of a luxurious life.

Born to a caste system has this "fatal" flaw of people's wishes not being in unison with the needs of the system, ie majority wants either bling and power or to be a wise hermit in the desert conjuring up proverbs from the aether. Or just be useless but fed.
It would much more profitable if a certain position or caste could only be ascended to. But vested interests of those already higher caste....

Thats basically it. It got made into a social system over time....and its rigidity also was somewhat dependent where you were given the specific local history and the original bases.

Parashurama was just one. Drona, Kripa also were fearsome warriors....Ashwatamma too (probably the most powerful one in certain instances)

Of course Parashurama is the most famous and powerful of them.

But the concept was not alien in the old times.

You are confusing cunning attitude with intelligence There are many people outside India who are more intelligent than all Indians even though they are not brahmins and dont belong to Indian races. Give education, experience , equal opportunities and equal rights to all races and castes then you will get many intelligent people from these races/castes as well
