Boy, 14, fatally shot on Milwaukee's east side
Police have no one in custody

MILWAUKEE —Milwaukee police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old boy on the city's east side Friday evening.

Police said the shooting stemmed from an apparent fight over a girl on Facebook.

Police were called to the area of Lake Drive and Wyoming Place around 10:30 p.m., shortly after the completion of a fireworks display at Veterans Park.

Several police officers resuscitated the victim at the sceene. He was taken to Froedtert Hospital, where he died.

No one is in custody.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked call Milwaukee police at 414-935-7360.
