PESHAWAR - Law enforcement agencies on Wednesday foiled a sabotage bid in Khyber Agency as a roadside IED planted to target NATO containers was defused.
Officials said that the bomb had been planted along Pak-Afghan Highway near Jamrud and was defused. They believed that it was targeting NATO supplies.
In a separate incident, the bomb disposal unit defused a bomb near the house of a tribal areas candidate in Peshawar.
The bomb disposal expert official Abdul Haq cofirmed that his unit defused a bomb near the house of an independent candidate Nosahd from Bajaur Agency in Bashiraabd area on main Pajagai road.
