10 killed in Tirah Valley blast

July 16, 2010

TIRAH VALLEY: Ten people were killed while 15 others were injured in a blast in the Tehsil bara district of Tirah Valley in Khyber Agency.

According to initial reports, the explosion took place during the Friday bazaar in Meherban Kilay area. The nature of the blast is still unknown.

The area is known for sectarian violence and clashes between rival militant groups.

The attack in Tirah Valley follows Thursday’s deadly attack in Mingora, Swat, where a suicide bomber killed at least six people, including two women, and injured around 60 in a busy market.

. . . .
RIP

I am just sick and tired of all these bombings, why cant the damned government seal the borders and retaliate in everyway it can to stop these bastards from going on their idiotic Jihad.

This just enrages me so damn much, we have to learn a lesson from this whole episode that state and religion should never mix. All this is the end result of the Holy war that was waged against the Soviets.

Look how we suffer when religion was twisted to suit the needs of a bunch of morons playing their geopoltical games.

.
RIP to the dead.

10 killed, 20 injured in bomb blast in Khyber Agency of NW Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, July 16 (Xinhua) -- At least ten people were killed and 20 others injured in a bomb blast on Friday morning in Khyber agency of northwest Pakistan, reported local media.

According to the media reports, the blast took place at about 11:00 a.m. local time when a bomb went off at a market temporarily set up for Friday trading in the city of Tirah Valley in Khyber Agency.

Police and rescue team have arrived at the scene shortly after the blast was reported.

The seriously injured people in the blast are being shifted to hospital in Peshawar, a nearby city.

No group has claimed the responsibility for the blast yet.

The blast is the second of its kind on Friday. Earlier this morning, a police vehicle was reportedly attacked by a remote- controlled bomb in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of Orakzai, injuring at least three cops in the vehicle.

Friday has been considered as a sensitive day in Pakistan as many terrorist attacks are launched on this day. The May 28th and July 9th terrorist attacks in Pakistan both happened on Friday. The former which took place at two mosques in Pakistan's eastern city of Lahore left over 90 people killed and over 100 others injured. The latter which occurred in Pakistan's northwest Mohmand Agency killed 107 people and injured more than 120 others.

Mosques and open roads where people offer friday prayers are always crowded in Pakistan so terrorists find these as easy to kill more people.

Sad sad sad.. no words are enough. Its like become a weekly ritual, another bloody Friday and another RIP wording. This tactic is enough to create fear psychosis amongst masses. A frightened society becomes weak, dependent and less productive. In such a case they easily become slaves to the demands of terrorists, as this way they feel there might be chance of peace.
Its much the same way as the Goons of a locality take Monthly from shop keepers.
