BATTLE REPORT #13 -JHELUM 326 BC( REPOST)

As always @AUSTERLITZ a delight to read. You continue outdoing yourself every time.

What an incredibly well oiled machine Alexander commanded, much ahead of its times.

@AUSTERLITZ Great Share buddy..... I've always had a great interest in Ancient history!
If you notice that the Greeks had a vision to assimilate the whole world to their way of living, and after their fall, the Romans took over and carried the same vision forward until their demise. Then, after the introduction of Christianity and Islam, it took the shape of the Christian Byzantine empire and it too tried to carry on the mission but wasn't very successful.
Then came the biggest and the baddest, the British empire, which too did the same thing as its predecessors and was able to assimilate most of the world. After its demise and retreat, it passed on the torch to the U.S which used very different tactics to fully assimilate the world to their culture, Mass Media. So to conclude, I would that say the Ancient Greeks are still among us. :agree:
Btw, I'm from Jhelum, beautiful place...

I was reading the piece with the expectation that the Indians ended up winning.
