Balochistan Education minister shot down

QUETTA: Balochistan Education Minister Shafiq Ahmed has been shot down in Quetta in an incident of drive-by shooting in front of his house, Geo News reported Sunday.

According to police sources, the incident occurred near his residence. He along with his father-in-law was getting down from his car to enter his house, when he was shot down. The masked miscreants were riding motorbike and they attacked while driving by.

The father in law of the minister Hidaytullah Jafar is also critically injured in the incident; he has been shifted to the hospital.

Soon afterwards, a large number of people gather at his residence. The deceased belonged to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).

QUETTA: Balochistan Education Minister Shafique Ahmed Khan has been shot dead after a firing incident in Quetta.

According to police, gumen opened indiscriminate fire on the education minister in front of his house on Toghi road killing him on the spot.

The body has been shifted to civil hospital where his relatives and a large number of supporters have gathered.

Police says it could be a case of target killing and the area has been cordoned. DawnNews reported that the Baloch Liberation United Front has claimed responsibility for the attack. Shafique Ahmed Khan who was 55-years old, became a member of Balochistan Provincial assembly in 2008. -DawnNews

There are dirty games being played with Pakistan , our enemies are trying their uttmost to destablize us one way or another. Balochsitan is hugely important for its resources and its location.

We know india and afghanistan are playing tag team against Pakistan but I woudnt be too surprised if Iran ( and even UAE ) are playing their dirty role in keeping Balochistan destabliszed. The Gwader port poses a direct challege to both Iran and UAE.
