Balochistan: Canadian firm to invest in solar energy

QUETTA: Canadian Solar Company delegation recently called on Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri, at Chief Minister Secretariat here and informed him that the company was interested in investing in the solar energy sector in Balochistan.
The Canadian delegation, headed by David Arenburg, met the Chief Minister and informed him that they could install solar pump irrigation system in Balochistan which would be controlled via computer.
Balochistan Board of Investment Vice Chairman Khawaj Hamayun Nizami was also present.
The Chief Minister told the Canadian delegation that the provincial government wanted to launch different projects in collaboration with local and international companies by using its powers which it got under the 18th Amendment of the Constitution. “We are ready to launch projects in collaboration with international firms,” he said.
