Ibad attempted to "hide behind" former mayor Naimatullah yesterday, alleges Kamal
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Mustafa Kamal, chief of Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) has accused Governor of Sindh, Dr Ishratul Ibad on Thursday of playing a role in Baldia Town factory fire incident as well that in May 12, 2007 rampage.

He addressed a press conference in the Sindh metropolis during which he criticised Sindh Governor in what has become an apparent rant between the two over the last few days.

Kamal said that Dr Ibad and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) were as bad for Pakistan as ‘cancer’.

“Controversial” governor broke his silence over May 12, 2007 incident after at least 12 years, Kamal said. He asserted, in response to apparent threats that he did not fear anyone except for the Almighty.

He claimed that the people of Karachi were bringing forth evidence proving bribe allegations against Dr Ibad. Kamal said that the Governor of Sindh was not harming him but Mohajir community in Sindh.

Kamal rhetorically asked if Dr Ibad would reopen the case regarding the violence that erupted on the streets of Karachi on May 12, 2007. The chief of PSP held Sindh’s governor responsible for the lives lost and violent clashes on the day.

He denied the allegations leveled against him by the governor by saying that he did not transfer any funds from Karachi to Malaysia and London.

Kamal demanded action against the governor for allegedly tempering with report of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) over May 12 rampage. He called for ‘public hangings’ of those involved in the incident.

Why did the governor avoid raising voice against the incident until October 19, 12 years later, Mustafa Kamal asked rhetorically. He alleged Dr Ibad of trying to “hide behind” former mayor of Karachi, Naimatullah yesterday.

The PSP chief claimed that Dr Ishratul Ibad would be exposed as the biggest culprit if Baldia Town factory fire case was pursued with utmost sincerity.

Kamal called for immediate action against governor’s dual nationality.

Earlier on Monday, Kamal had demanded Interior Ministry to add Dr Ishratul Ibad to Exit Control List (ECL).

BANGKOK: Police from Bangkok Crime Suppression Division (CSD) have arrested a key suspect wanted by Interpol and Pakistani authorities for Baldia factory incident, which caused more than 250 deaths and scores of injuries four years ago.

The Thai police traced him living in a five-star hotel in Bankok’s up-market area and arrested him.

About 40 commandos raided the Royal Garden Home Hotel in Soi Nana yesterday evening and arrested Abdul Rehman alias Bhola, 46, who was staying alone in the room, a police official told media.

"Thai Interpol tracked this suspect following an arrest warrant sought by the Pakistani authorities," Thailand´s Interpol chief, Major General Apichart Suriboonya told AFP.

"He will be repatriated as soon as Pakistan is ready," he added.

Last month, the anti-terrorism court (ATC) had severely reprimanded the concerned authorities for failing to arrest suspended chief of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Karachi Tanzeemi Committe, Hammad Siddiqui, and sector in-charge Baldia Town Abdul Rehman Bhola, the two main suspects of the case.

Pakistan police later found the suspect travelled to Thailand two weeks ago so they coordinated with Interpol and Thai police to track him down.

His wife told media that she last contacted Rehman couple of days ago but his mobile is off since yesterday. “Hospital management informed me about the raid and that Rehman has been arrested,” she added.

In September 2012, over 250 factory workers perished in the chemical factory fire. The incident was brushed off as having occurred owing to a short circuit but was later declared a case of arson; the factory was set ablaze owing to non-payment of protection money.

A joint investigation team probing the matter put the blame on some MQM members and activists including Siddiqui and Rehman. The party has repeatedly denied the allegations.

250 innocent people burned alive.... 250 families destroyed. I dont think there is punishment enough for people like him in this world.

His masters must be exterminated like the vermin they are.

.
This only ends with the swine in London being burnt alive! Like always they disown the very people they use now pictures will appear of leaders of that party with him and they will say we don't know him.

.
I wish, tht other than rehman bhola....those who were the masterminds (political bigwigs) of this inhuman incident...ke unke apnay log / bachay unki aankhon k saamnay aisy jal kar marein... I know...i am being very inhuman..but these rats deserve this

. .
This is only a pawn, all extortionist bigwigs needs to be bring to gallows. Justice needs to be served with full force. All abetting in such crime no matter political parties, law enforcement institute or judicial institute should be dealt.
For the sake of Allah, to all Pakistanis, please don't mix crimes with politics. Please save future of your next generations, pass to them prosperous, corruption free and safe Pakistan; So there should be no BHOLAS to burn them alive for just 200 millions.
