This news have quoted that there is some defence moderation plan that is approved and Pakistan will go through. I think the defence moderation plan has something to do with the J-10 aircrafts to be inducted, new moderation, ugrading plan for our Navy, and induction of more tanks and cruise missile systems for our Army.

I believe that the above things shouldn't be a problem for Pakistan becoming a threat, it will keep it in the policy of maintaining minimum deterrence, and that is a good thing.

Islamabad, April 5: Pakistan would maintain minimum deterrence in conventional and non-conventional defence fields, President Pervez Musharraf has said, even as the army top brass approved a 15-year modernisation plan for the forces.

"Balance of power is a pre-requisite for peace and it is achieved through strength while weakness invites aggression, hence conventional and non-conventional deterrence will be maintained," he told the 59th Formation Commanders' Conference of the Pakistan army in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
He vowed to utilise all available resources to make country's defence strong. Pakistan would continue to contribute positively to peace and harmony in the region keeping in view its geo-strategic location, Musharraf said.
