Malik Riaz is most probably the richest person in Pakistan. He is the owner of the Bahria Town property and real estate company which has its operations in all the major Pakistani cities such as Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi. According to some estimates Malik Riaz’s net worth is more or less $1 Billion.
He is a media personality as well and appears regularly on talk shows and magazine programs on different Pakistani TV channels. He has strong ties with the overseas Pakistani community as well and many of the housing schemes and especially the Bahria Town residential complexes that he has developed are laid out in the European style housing in order to attract the overseas Pakistani clientèle from the USA, Canada, Great Britain and Australia. He does donate very generously tophilanthropic organizations and in fact a few years ago when the famous Bollywood actor Amir Khan auctioned his bat used in the movie Lagaan, it was Malik Riaz’s son who bought the bat and donated the proceeds to Imran Khan’s Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital.
Recently the Rawalpindi Sessions Court ruled in favor of Pakistan Navy’s Bahria Foundation and ordered Malik Riaz not to use the word “Bahria” for his real estate and property business since Bahria Foundation has been using this word before Malik Riaz started building his real estate empire.
One little known fact about Malik Riaz and his family is their passion for cars. Malik Riaz owns a fleet of luxury cars and it is said that it is the most expensive luxury car collection in Pakistan. Following are the top 5 cars in this collection.
