KARACHI - The Crime Investigation Department (CID) of the police on Friday claimed to have arrested five members of a banned oraganisation who were involved in attacks on anti-polio workers during a raid operation conducted near Katti Pahari area of the city.
Tennis ball bombs were also seized from the arrested suspects, police sources said.
CID SSP Chaudhry Aslam told journalists that the arrested persons belonged to the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Fazlullah group and were believed to be involved in attacks on polio workers.
