UNITED NATIONS — U.S. President Donald Trump warned on Tuesday that the United States will be forced to "totally destroy" North Korea unless Pyongyang backs down from its nuclear challenge, mocking North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as a "rocket man" on a suicide mission.

Loud murmurs filled the green-marbled U.N. General Assembly hall when Trump issued his sternest warning yet to North Korea, whose ballistic missile launches and nuclear tests have rattled the globe. Unless North Korea backs down, he said, "We will have no choice than to totally destroy North Korea."

"Rocket man is on a suicide mission for himself and his regime," he said. He urged United Nations member states to work together to isolate the Kim government until it ceases its "hostile" behavior.

A junior North Korean diplomat remained in the delegation's front-row seat for Trump's speech, the North Korean U.N. mission said.

Turning to Iran, Trump called the 2015 nuclear deal negotiated by his predecessor, Barack Obama, was an embarrassment and hinted that he may not recertify the agreement when it comes up for a mid-October deadline.

"I don't think you've heard the last of it," he said.

He called Iran an "economically depleted rogue state" that exports violence. The speech marked his latest attempt to lay out his America First vision for a U.S. foreign policy aimed at downgrading global bureaucracies, basing alliances on shared interests, and steering Washington away from nation-building exercises abroad.

Trump, who entered the White House eight months ago, told world leaders at the 193-member global body that the United States does not seek to impose its will on other nations and will respect other countries' sovereignty.

"I will defend America's interests above all else," he said. "But in fulfilling our obligations to other nations we also realize it's in everyone's interest to seek a future where all nations can be sovereign, prosperous and secure."

Reading carefully from a script, Trump said the U.S. military would soon be the strongest it has ever been. Turning to Venezuela, Trump called the collapsing situation there "completely unacceptable" and said the United States cannot stand by and watch.

With China and Russia going all out against the petro dollar, with China recently start trading its gold backed Yuan for oil in Shanghai stock exchange, America is getting desperate for a war, and with North Korea sitting next to both China and Russia, it could be a perfect target.

All past currency and economic resets needed the wars. We are heading towards one.

I am sure NK would be able to get couple of 150 KT on their way to LA and DC

Well a nuclear war is inevitable now... its not the question of if but when?

NK and iran dont care about USA's threat warnings. US has no option but to keep on threatening the NK

I am sure NK would be able to get couple of 150 KT on their way to LA and DC

i dont think so that any leader in the world is so idiot to go for a nuclear war. NK will never attack SK, japan and USA. they are just developing nukes for their own defense. US wont attack NK. NK will definitely like to hit guam with nukes in retaliation and the ultimate losers of the nuclear war will be both the "koreas" and may be japan. china wont like the idea of a huge mess right on her doorstep with millions of refugees pouring into her borders. the leaders of japan and SK wont let US to attack NK in fear of the damage that a burning NK can still do to them.the only possible solution to this is talks between USA, SK, NK, Japan, russia and china and to settle the matter by making some sort of bargain. but uncle sam wont do it. why ? because they are uncle sam and they are mad with ego problem.

Hey haven't don't anything to NK I doubt it. Last thing they wanted a mess in south asia.
Other than putting more sanctions what els they can do rather than bring them on table and seeking peace they are just stupidly threatning they bringing 3rd ww close to everyone's door step is stupid move and on top of india gone insane and trying to link it with Pakistan.

With upcoming years. Most of the countries will cut itself from US as they do more harm than good to be remained with US as Ally.

People are simply clueless if they think its to do with anything but economics. Those who have eye on geopolitics/geoeconomics, can see that old system of petro dollar is under severe pressure. Even Venezuela just few days ago ditched the US dollar for Chinese Yuan.

Death of petro dollar mean end of American hegemony and its world order. When China itself the world biggest oil consumer do not want to trade in dollar and instead wants to use its own gold backed currency, one should be wise enough to understand what future holds. China can get its oil from either Russians (who are more then happy to ditch dollar themselves) or the Saudis. Saudis are in a fix themselves as they are the ones who build this petro dollar empire for yanks. Either they comply with Chinese wishes or lose the world biggest oil market to Russians. Yanks will go to any length to protect it. The nations who are working to get rid of this American new world order must stare down the yanks with their own military muscle and let them be under no illusion of the consequences.

I actually don't think he's bluffing. People thought he wouldn't attack Syria and he did. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see the US attack North Korea's nuclear and missile launch facilities as a "warning" to Kim, and any further escalation from Kim would equal the regimes destruction.

not an economics expert but i dont think petro dollar is going anywhere till the time the OPEC is in US hands. the arab majority leaders are their pockets.

Syria couldnt defend itself but NK can attack the South and send some missiles, even to Japan, different situation, dont you think?

People on here are going to look stupid when they wake up one day and find out North Korea is on fire. There is a much higher chance of this happening now than people here are willing to admit.

People on this forum have been making this prediction since I have been here from '09. You will need admin's help in data mining to see how many times those predictions went wrong. So what make you think yours is any different ?
