Assailants hurl grenade at school in Karachi

KARACHI: Unidentified assailants lobbed a hand grenade outside a school in Orangi Town in Karachi on Tuesday creating fear and panic in the area, Express News reported.

However, the grenade did not detonate.

The attack created a sense of panic among the people in the area. Law enforcement personnel rushed to the blast site. No loss of life or damage to property was reported.

Shops in the area have been closed as well following the attack.

Last month, a hand grenade was alsolobbed outside a school in Gulshan-e-Iqbal. However, no loss of life or damage to property was reported.

the first order of things is to build concrete security barriers in front of every urban pakistani school, and to ban motorcycles completely, and to regulate vehiclular/pedestrian traffic.

all this will either prevent attacks or the attackers can be caught more easily.
