Arvind Kejriwal will be visitingIsraelin October to attend a conference on water technology after being invited by the Israeli ambassador for the same. The announcement was made after the Delhi Chief Minister was invited to the conference by AmbassadorDaniel Carmonduring a meeting held at the Delhi secretariat today. The meeting was also attended by Ashish Khetan, Vice-Chairman of Delhi Dialogue Commission (DDC) .
"The Chief Minister will visit Israel and see the solutions his government can use to handle issues of governance, especially scarcity of water," said a government official. The visiting Ambassador invited the Delhi Government to participate in the water technology and environment control exhibition and conference (WATEC) to be held in Tel Aviv in the month of October.
"We have good mastery on the issue of water management. Rain water is very scarce in Israel, so we have devised ways to handle the problem," Carmon told the Delhi CM.
In the meeting Kejriwal also expressed his wish to invite a team of experts from Israel which could work in close cooperation with the Delhi government.
The Chief Minister replied in an affirmative to the invitation and said that someone will be sent to the conference to look out for issues of water treatment and other water related issues.
"Issues of cooperation in the fields of water, education, socio-economic problems and health were also issued during the meeting. The Chief Minister and the Ambassador decided to share more on the issues and have a meaningful dialogue further," said the government official.
