Arrest warrants issued for Shahzain Bugti, accomplices

QUETTA: The Additional Session Judge V Quetta issued arrest warrants for Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) provincial president Nawabzada Shahzain Bugti and his 27 security guards on Friday.
The arrest warrants were issued after the Supreme Court cancelled the bail of Shahzain and his guards, earlier granted by the Balochistan High Court.
They were arrested by paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC) on December 22, 2010 at the Buleli checkpost in Quetta for allegedly smuggling weapons.
Sources say a huge cache of weapons and ammunition, including 50 Kalashnikov assault rifles, anti-aircraft guns and 46,000 rounds, was recovered from the vehicles they were travelling in.
