I just recently started listening to vinyl and I have to say I really like the analog warmth of the format.

Newer releases are somewhat pricey (at least here in the US) most of my relatively small collection is of used 70s and 80s music from eBay and a record subscription Club.

Was wondering how many here enjoy the vinyl listening experience?

Love vinyl. Digital does not do justice to the sound.

try hi res audio ..flac

FLAC is a good hi rez format.. DSD is even better.

Speaking for myself, it's not that I feel that vinyl is necessarily superior to digital audio.

It's that it's different. There's just something about the warmth of analog that digital format just can't touch. (For me at least)

Some days depending on my mood, I'll hook up my USB DAC and enjoy high-res formats.

Other times, I will put the needle to the record and get lost in a warm analog universe.

Exactly,.... I don't say vinyl is better than hi-res DSD because I love the sound my sony DSD player...also using Cambridge Audio DACs helps to increase the quality of mp3 music.
But vinyl has a warmth especially when combined with tube amplifiers .. I use vox and Marshall amplifiers originally for the guitar :)

Very nice

I currently use the iFi Nano iDSD Black Label USB DAC for all my hi-rez needs.

Great thread guys. Thanks for sharing. Love it! I bought John Lennon's "Imagine" when I was still in high school about 1980. Ohh the nostalgia. That fluff would gather around the needle and you would have to remove it ever so gently.

Video is blocked (at least for me) due to copyright grounds.

Do you still have the album?

I just bought a new turntable and anxiously await its arrival.

No lost it. At some point it became redundant with cassetes and of course CD's taking over. I had a second hand Marantz and later a Grundig turntable. Looking back the world has moved on.

Vinyl has been recently making a big comeback. Not that it ever really fully went away.

A lot of younger people like myself are really getting into it.

My turntable is a U-turn orbit. Not high end, But good enough for me because I don't have a high-end set up.

I just buy my favorite rock/metal vinyl records for putting on the wall. Recently bought Metallica's Master of Puppets LP. Looking for some Motorhead LP now.
