I was just reminiscing over the good old times in Pakistan in the 90s, & I realized R.L.Stine & Christopher Pike books had a profound effect on me. I used to go to the old book's school, & used to buy used copies of R.L.Stine & Christopher Pike books for 30-40 rupees each. I used to be a huge fan of R.L.Stine's Fear Street (& the Sweet Valley Twins ) from like grade 3-6, before I'd discovered Christopher Pike. But once I grabbed hold of Christopher Pike in grade 6, I never looked back to R.L.Stine (except the Fear Hall series & the Fear Street Seniors series). I read each & every book of R.L.Stine & Christopher Pike, & kept them as my prized collections :D

The first book of Christopher Pike I read was the "Midnight Club", & it left me very touched. Then I read "Die Softly", which also had a profound effect on me. I always felt that Christopher Pike had that element of emotion & intrigue, of depth that R.L.Stine never had. I started reading John Grisham, Jeffrey Archer & John Grisham's books as well, which were great, but still missed that element of emotion that I had found in Christopher Pike. When I first started reading Christopher Pike, girls in my class used to ask me (for borrowing) for them, & I got popular with the ladies . I was always an emotional person, & these books also helped me become Christopher Pike buddies with this one girl, who I "hooked up" with (Pakistani style) in grade 8. Those were the good times

It was sad that most of my R.L.Stine/Christopher Pike books got 'washed out' by a flood in my basement.

If any of you have similar experiences about your past, I'd love to hear them

I used to be a fan of RL Stine like back in grade 5. I was a fan of his Goosebumps series.
