An apology to all Muslim Friends

This is an open apology to all muslim friends on this board. I did something today that makes me a little ashamed of myself.

Since my family's L2 visa was cancelled when I moved back to India earlier this year, I had applied for them to get a regular B1/B2 visa as we are planning to vacation in US and Canada this year..

Had the visa interview today and I had gone along with my wife and kid. During the interview they asked us about our earlier stay in the US and the city we lived in. Then they asked me to name some of my acquaintances in the city. Instinctively I left out the names of all Muslim friends I had in the town. Happened fast enough for me to not realize how my mind worked.

But really felt angry and ashamed later on.. A sign of times we live in.. Hate these terrorist basta*ds even more now..

Once when i went to Turkey with my wife...
We were in Istanbul and coming back to Iran. Funny in the part of entrance to plane they were two queues: one for the plane for Israel and one for Iran .
In the first queue they didn't ask anything to the people who were just looking at us , most of them surprised.
Because our queue ( 4 years ago) they asked us to take out our shoes, our bell, and some of people were loosing their pants and the turkish guy in airport check was very bad bahaving.

You see it is not only non muslims countries .

We'll pay for a long our policies and the terrorist acts of the stupid people who said themselves to be muslims.
It was one of the experience who changed my point of view on Israel as Israelis people were behaving far better than Turkish airport workers.

why do you need to be ashamed.

Due to the actions of few bad people all Muslims have been branded terrorists so by now most of the Muslims should have become used to this brand and those who still haven't should try because this brand will remain with Muslims for a long long time.

Maybe you never considered those muslims to be your friends in the 1st place. Whatever maybe the reason why did you felt angry and ashamed latter on, you said what you felt was right for you and your family and there is nothing more important to a person then his own family.

Nothing to be ashamed. I've seen many muslim people here changed their name to Tom or John. The main thing is you realised it and admitted it. So no harm done.

i am glad this happening in india, it will open the eye's of so called secular muslims (non muslims) there.

it will also help so called terrorist group's, to recruit more local comrades.

India is doing the work for Pakistan, could'nt ask for more.

Maybe you never considered those muslims to be your friends in the 1st place. Whatever maybe the reason why did you felt angry and ashamed latter on, you said what you felt was right for you and your family and there is nothing more important to a person then his own family.

See.. the problem is that the mentality has been impacted. And I really didnt think about it till that moment. It was an instinctive reaction thinking that if I said I plan to visit some of my muslim friends, the questioning may go on longer and may become more of a bother.

What bothers me the most is that my reaction was almost instinctive to omit those names..

What makes me ashamed is that I chose the easy way out despite being against that way...
