Export version of air defence coplex BUK-M3 called "Viking" is ready for export. The range is 65 km. There is an opportunity of integration with the "Antey-2500" complex.

Do you remember the BUK-M2 suddenly spotted in Egypt after being there for "allegedly" 3 years unannounced?
I think the integration with the Antey-2500 is what makes it very appealing. Do you know if this integration is basically for a 2-tier system, because of the difference in operational range will make them work in tandem?

The article says that it is possible to integrate the BUK-M3 and Antey-2500 launchers, this will increase the range up to 130 km.

Ah, interesting. I thought they meant the two systems would work side by side, but being interchangeable is a whole other thing. Not sure I understand how the launcher can increase a missile's range and not the propellant or booster or fuel state of the missile itself?
