Ahmadinejad to Meet with Occupy Wall Street

A report today in an official outlet of the Iranian regime claims that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the president of Iran, will meet with members of the Occupy Wall Street movement. Ahmadinejad is currently in New York City for the United Nations General Assembly, where these reported meetings will take place.

Seems Ahmadinejad is visiting NYC starting Sept 22, meeting with all sorts of folks including the Occupy Wall Street group, university students, "intellectuals", and "elites", staying at the Irresistible Suite Dreams in the Warwick. If I were to meet him face to face I would have some choice words.

Totally fine with this. A meet with Ahmadinejad is like a meet with Kim Jong Il, all it does is destroy their credibility.

If their goal is to garner support within the American public they should be trying to stay far away from Ahmadinejad and dictator puppets of his ilk.

The leaders of Europe and just maybe China (though in general vocal support from foreign politicians and only foreign does not bode well for any movement) are one thing. The one in power during the 'green movement'? lol!

Also Lol'ed at the idea that Iran theocracy supports truth and justice. Truth and justice are counter to the tenets of their very system of government, and its the same for all their authoritarian ilk.

In all honesty the OWS movement's time has passed. They had their chance to turn popular sentiment into political gains like the tea party and they squandered it. They are a footnote and less in media stories now because they are old news.

If they met with Ahmadinejad and trumpeted his support they wouldn't be met with anger from most, only derision.
