I just posted an excellent op-ed by the seasoned Pakistani diplomat Rustam Shah Mohmand on the recent AF-Pak tantrums, that peace should answer your question and many other of my Pakistani friend pretty well. I welcome you to read that piece in the " Afghan section of PDF" with a neutral mind.

To bad mouth Pakistan after getting all these facilities is wrong. People like samadari living/studying and working in Pakistan but consider Afghanistan as their holy land..

He has freedom to side with anyone in the long run he is a Pakistani and would not have any place in Afghanistan. It is the bitter reality ethnicity does not mean that Afghanistan would own you.

Monkey the Luffy would not be granted Afghan citizenship. Have you seen any single dual Pak-Afghan citizen??

I don't think he wants Afghan citizenship seeing how it is worse even than Pakistani citizenship. The question is is Afghanistan like Dubai that people all over the world will run to it? Afghanistan has nothing to offer to Pakistani Pashtuns. It is economically, culturally and in every way superior to Afghanistan. Those people on pashtunforums and other such forums are delusional.

Also accepting the idea that Afghan=Pashtun can apply ethnically but not in the national sense as the Afghans claim all Afghan can be a Pashtun. If that is true then why do the Tajik Hazaras and Uzbeks not accepted as pashtun. This all stinks of ethnic chauvinism. I want to be like a Pashtun-culturally and in every way but I do not want to be a bigot. Being pashtuns should be about promoting culture and language not be used to divide Pakistanis.
