Afghanistan expert and advisor at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) Weekend Lurås believe the 92,000-stamped secret documents about the war in Afghanistan WikiLeaks have published can come from central sources in Washington.
- I think this may be a leak from someone high up in Washington. It is of course speculation, but the leak is so extensive and comes at a time where the debate over strategy in Afghanistan is so intense that it can not be excluded that this is a deliberate leak. But this can also be made by a lower intelligence officer, says Lurås.
