A Tribute to MM Alam

. . . .
Watched it multiple times with friends,
What a national hero.. totally dedicated and professional, spending hundereds of hours in training himself and synchronising with his machine, harmonising the guns during peace time really paid him off in the war time. An unprecedented feat of shooting 5 aircrafts with guns in such a short time is a record and will remain unbroken.

But I wonder despite such an illustrious career which I can confidently claim no one else had in PAF at least, why was he not made the air chief? His work stil impacts PAF the most, selection of Mirages and F-16. We need someone like him to decide for the gen platform for our PAF:

Great human being ... great Muslim ... great Warrior ... one of the men of finest hours of Pakistan.

Skies of Pakistan will always feel the absence of eagles like you ... ALLAH SWT bless your soul with Junnah.

That I didn't know. But how come the officers of airforce of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan can consume alcohol? I hope that haram practice has ended
Hi,

Well---that was a different time---just imagine a time---when many of the top generals of pak army were drunk in the 1965 and 71 wars.

Army mess would have beer drinking parties----and the top dogs would be drinking out of a BUCKET---.

"Din was brought back in Pakistan by her Army, our party will do the same in Turkey" - a Turkish parliamentarian from the current ruling party

Din was first lost in the Turkish Army, it's slowly coming back. If officers are as Dindar as Gazi M M Alam, any situation can be successfully faced. May Allah-u Azimushshan accept him as the representative from the last century in the grand assembly of the greatest Muslim warriors..

Unfortunately we have never treated our national heroes the way they deserved to be treated.
PAF will never get a Airchief like him in decades. What a lost oppurtunity !

We are Muslim and believe that Allah's help will always be with us as it was in the time of Holy Prophet (ﷺ). But if we have people with questionable morals in our armed forces, then we cannot expect that support. By and large Pakistan armed forces consist of faithful and practicing Muslims though there are some elements and practices that need reformation but as an organisation it is the most disciplined and professional one and we love them and Insha-Allah my future generations will join them too :). I personally wanted to be a PAF pilot like my father but due to eye-sight problem I couldn't follow my dream and Alhamduillah Allah had better plans for me :)
